Northcross Fire Station, Auckland, NZ
Owing to the intensive growth and development to Albany and Long Bay, the New North Cross Fire Station on East Coast Road was constructed to enable Fire and Emergency New Zealand to reach call outs to these areas in a prompt and efficient manner. Designers had to incorporate an underground detention tank to capture and detain surface water runoff from pavements and roof systems. The innovative retention system ACO STORMBRIXX® provided a cost-effective and at the same time environmental solution.
